Web Videos Can Be a Great Benefit when Marketing Your Organisation

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Today, as various companies & moguls are looking at online video websites as a great place to circulate content to grab the interest of their customers, it’s necessary to identify the key benefits of utilising internet video advertising websites.

Here are a couple crucial things you must understand prior to you beginning to distribute corporate videos on web video channels.

All the time endeavour to use videos that give value added material to your potential audience – Numerous business people wrongly think you can just add any kind of advertisement on a video channel, but nothing could be any closer from the truth. Each and every video must give some worthwhile content to the target market, or otherwise start topic of discussion.

Do some type of market research on the video portals previous to you uploading your first video – It’s a superb suggestion to allocate some considerable amount of time typing your market’s important keywords into Google, in order to realise what comparable promotional videos are at this time on the Internet. Then make sure you have scribbled down the profile names of the most prominent firms in your sector. Possibly afterwards you can become involved in a joint venture or have some sort of collaboration with these firms.

It is important to take into account that each and every video site has a community built into it – Therefore you are advised to respect the other members & it’s suggested that you post positive remarks to your rivals’ videos. Essentially you must be a member of the community, contributing comment, ideas etc. And only then must you judge yourself as being a marketer and start to advertise your very own videos & goods. Vidify can work successfully to offer white-label online video production and publishing strategies for your company.

Commit yourself to making numerous promotional videos – You should have an obvious strategy for creating and distributing quite a lot of videos. Otherwise, your video organisation’s page on the video websites will look bare if it just has one solitary video to watch. As a result, allocate time preparing the making of a number of short corporate videos, instead of one significantly long video.

Online video marketing is one of the most efficient and quickest methods of advertising your business at present.

Web videos are a brilliant instrument to promote your firm’s products. Naturally there are a lot of other types of marketing methods available from content writing to blogging, from PR to podcasting. However, nothing says “cool, connection, and creativity” like a video.

Each week more and more firms of all sizes are creating videos about their products. They are not only putting them on their business sites, but They’re putting them on their blogs. To gain universal twenty-four-seven exposure, video commercials are being posted to a lot of video-sharing websites like YouTube and Kwego. And why not ? it’s economical, easy-to-do, & can have an important difference, in some cases, on the traffic it drives to your firm’s website.

There are a lot of other reasons why Web videos are a fabulous way to publicise your organisation.

Commercial videos benefit from a large distribution: Videos by their own nature are easy to “package” which means they are appropriate to go into a selection of different distribution circulations. You can put them on your businesses website or blog, on the other hand you can load them onto your desktop computer and run them continually at a chosen business show. You can upload them to dozens and dozens of Web video-sharing social sites. You can copy them onto DVDs & give them away or sell them. You can even distribute them by email.

Promotional videos are an efficient way to advertise. As our knowledge of technology changes, so do the ways in which firms like to interact with others. Most individuals are visually oriented meaning that is how they best understand and cooperate with their world. This makes short format videos the supreme business strategy to talk with today’s consumers. Click here to find out about video production, distribution and marketing services from Vidify.

The Father Of Virtual Real Estate Investing Comments On His Industry

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Virtual Real Estate Investing” is a relatively new concept. There are many variations on what this term means, encompassing everything from using the internet to aid in real estate investing efforts to participating in online games such as SecondLife.

To find out the real story, I had a conversation with Bryan Ellis of BryanEllis.com, widely considered to be one of the originators of the concept of Virtual Real Estate Investing.

Ellis says he adopted the term “virtual real estate investing” sometime before Y2K after he realized that making money online is conceptually very similar to making money with physical real estate.

An example of the similar nature of “virtual” and “physical” real estate Bryan Ellis likes to point out is the methods of making a profit from domain names compared to physical real estate. He points out that control of a domain name or even a specific web page is much like controlling a real estate property ” those assets can be monetized in similar ways: By selling them for a profit, by leasing them, by offering advertising, etc.

The similarities really are obvious. Consider: A valuable piece of real estate is valuable largely due to the interest that other people have in that specific location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. In either case, you could sell or lease the asset and turn it into cash.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

Also, the quality can last for years and years to come. The rug can also retain its value.

The city of Tabriz, located in Iran, is one of the oldest carpet and rug producing cities in the world. The designs of Tabriz rugs are mostly floral, with some geometric designs.
There are a few online area rugs stores who sell Tabriz Persian Rugs. Tabriz Rugs range in price, varying from about $250 – thousands of dollars, depending on the size and type.

When trying to decide which rug to buy, analyze the colors and patterns in the room you want to put the rug in. Tabriz rugs typically have small floral designs, which are easy to use in a room decorated with a vintage, traditional or contemporary style room. Make sure you measure the room well and get the rug at least the size you need. Remember that it is better to have the rug be a little larger than you need, than to be too small.

Also, some online rug stores offer extras like free shipping and discounted prices. You should check these rug stores first for what you are looking for. Anxiety Treatment – The Natural Remedy for Anxiety Relief

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

L-Theanine, naturally occurring in green tea, proves effective in dealing with anxiety symptoms and providing anxiety relief

Anxiety is a state of intense fear, uncertainty, uneasiness, or apprehension due to anticipation of an imagined or real threatening future event. Anxiety can be both physically and psychologically devastating to the Anxiety sufferer’s life. Anxiety is often sub-categorized according to the focus of the perceived threat. There is social anxiety, separation anxiety, dating anxiety, performance anxiety, math anxiety, etc. Stress and anxiety often go hand in hand and can result in anxiety depression as the individual feels powerless to receive any anxiety help.

There are a variety of anti-anxiety treatments to consider in overcoming anxiety. For some, anxiety medications prove to be a source of anxiety relief. Other’s prefer not to use any of the anti-anxiety drugs and opt for more natural cures for anxiety management. These may include herbs for anxiety, acupuncture anxiety treatments, anxiety vitamins, aromatherapy for anxiety relief, even hypnosis has has proved beneficial overcoming anxiety.

This article discusses the perhaps little known amino acid L-Theanine as a natural remedy for anxiety relief.

L-Theanine is a unique free form amino acid found only in the tea plant and in the mushrooms Xerocomus badius and certain species of genus Camellia, C. japonica and C. sasanqua. Often drinkers of green tea report a feeling of calmness they feel after ingesting a cup or two even though green tea has roughly half the caffeine of coffee. This is due to the high L-Theanine content.

In addition to reducing anxiety symptoms, studies have shown L-Theanine may be effective in promoting concentration, supporting the immune system, improving learning performance, lowering blood pressure, increasing formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, and increasing brain dopamine levels among other positive benefits with no known downside.

Studies in cooperation with Taiyo Kagaku Co., The University of Shizuoka, and The Family Planning Institute of Japan have shown that women taking 200 mg L-Theanine daily have lower incidence of PMS symptoms. These symptoms include physical, mental, and social symptoms. Overall, a significant alleviation of PMS symptoms by L-Theanine was observed.

While still under investigation, L-Theanine appears to have a role in the formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA). GABA blocks release of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, playing a key role in the relaxation effect.

Everyone knows the effects stress and anxiety can have on an individual’s physical state of well-being. Fascinating neurochemistry research has revealed that given a shot of GABA essentially turned back the clocks in the brains of older monkeys, whose brain function briefly operated at levels normally seen in monkeys less than half their age.

GABA, or gamma-amino butyric acid, is a neurotransmitter chemical that is essential for optimizing how brain cells transmit messages to each other and acts to put a damper on unwanted brain signaling activity. Although GABA’s age-related decline has not been documented in humans, a host of studies in mammals, including other primates, suggests that a similar process is at work in people.

Monkeys ages 26 and 32 — considered old age for monkeys — that got GABA directly delivered to their neurons responded to visual patterns, such as flashing vertical and horizontal lines, in much the same way as monkeys aged 7 to 9 years old did.

Without GABA delivery, the monkeys’ aged brains had more difficulty firing neurons that specifically gauge various aspects of depth perception, motion and color. Instead, older monkeys have more random firings that make it difficult to observe visual nuances. In younger monkeys, GABA had no effect since their brains already had optimal GABA functioning.

L-Theanine is considered to be safe based on its historical use as a component of tea and on favorable toxicology studies. Tea is the most consumed beverage worldwide after water, and has been consumed for thousands of years by billions of people. It is estimated that a heavy tea drinker (6-8 cups daily) will consume between 200 to 400 mg of L-Theanine daily.

While dosage for depression and anxiety disorder remain individual, it is recommended to take 100 to 200 mg 1 to 3 times daily for anxiety relief. Based on the results of clinical studies, it has been established that L-Theanine is effective in single dosages in the range of 50-200 mg. It is suggested that subjects with higher levels of anxiety take a dose at the higher end of the effective range (100 – 200 mg) for overcoming anxiety.

Keep Getting Paid Over And Over For Every Sale You Make!

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

If we could all have one wish granted chances are most of us would wish for a huge flood of sales. That is the point right? We’re all in the game to make (at the very least) a little extra pocket money.

There’s only one problem. Sales don’t come easy. Unless you receive hundreds, or even thousands of visitors to your website each and every day you end up struggling just to break even.

This is especially true for ‘newbies’ who are just learning what it takes to be successful online. Most don’t have the benefits of a huge opt-in mailing list to promote to, or hundreds of dollars to invest in getting set up, heck, some don’t even have a website to send visitors to!

Chances are, if you fall into any of these categories your ‘driving yourself insane’ and spending long sleepless (unproductive) nights searching for that ‘magic bullet’ that will open the floodgates and secure you a spot on easy street.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy. On the other hand, it’s not extremely difficult either. It’s a proven fact that most (around 98%) of affiliates who receive a check never make any serious money. A check here and there, usually the bare minimum payout.

So they continue the struggle. Night after night, day after day, week after week, etc.. Swapping ads, posting to ffa pages, and writing articles, desperately seeking another ‘one hit wonder’.

There’s a better way. Instead of drudging along, a sale here and there, concentrate your efforts on products and programs that pay you over and over again for the initial sale.

This is called recurring or ‘passive’ income.

Imagine making a sale for a $30 product. Now let’s say you make a generous 50% commission for each sale of this product. That’s a modest $15. Now instead of the one time $15, let’s pretend you are selling a product that pays recurring (passive) commissions.

You will automatically make that same $15 at the beginning of each month! So instead of starting from square one each month you can calculate exactly how much ’start up income’ you stand to earn at the beginning of the month. For as long as your visitor remains a customer.

Will you eventually lose some of these customers? Yes, but in the meantime you’ll be setting up more ‘passive’ income for the next month.

This begins what I like to call a ’snowball effect’ and your income can add up FAST.

You’ll find a good deal of programs that offer ‘passive’ income so sticking with your targeted niche is usually not a problem. A few examples of programs that offer ongoing commissions are web hosting, autoresponders, Isp services, membership sites, email accounts, etc..

By achieving just a handful of sales each month with a program that offers ongoing commissions you can stand to make hundreds of dollars off of what began as a single sale.

Good luck, now go out and start building those snowballs.

Workplace Fitness: A Gym Full Of Useful Advice For Continual Learning

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

“Where do you get all your energy?” That’s a question many of us are asked as we finish leading an intense management retreat, conducting a training session, or keynoting a major conference. My answer, after I jokingly say, “Drugs!” is “Exercise”.

I’ve realized that some of the lessons learned in a physical fitness program are appropriate for our personal and professional growth and have also have application in the training room.

Cross train. It’s essential for continual improvement. We all get into our ruts, doing the same routines over and over again and wondering why we don’t see any improvement. The body (as well as the mind) slips into neutral. Cross-training challenges different parts of our physical structure. We have to learn a new way of holding weights, of balancing, of breathing. We gain a new appreciation for a different skill set. The parallels in organizational behavior are immediate.

Hydrate. The body demands water when it is being physically taxed. So too does the brain. Notice I didn’t say “coffee”. Just plain old clear water. Water might not be our favorite beverage but hydration actually helps our endurance. No wonder we want pitchers of water in our training rooms!

Push beyond your barriers. There are two kinds of barriers; those imposed by others and those imposed by ourselves. The latter are the most restrictive. I finally took a spinning class. This class uses a stationery bike that can be adjusted to tighten or loosen the gears. I can literally feel like I am pedaling up Mt. Everest or cruising along the beach sand. It’s the hardest class I have ever taken. I love and hate it. And I go because it makes me push against what my mind says “you can’t do”. Now, I’m NOT going to challenge Lance Armstrong. My body DOES know its limits. But I AM doing that which I said I could not. It’s a thrill!

End performance anxiety. Walk into a gym and you see the jocks who grunt and lift huge weights vying with their buddies for the most reps. Go to a class and you’ll see the double-stepping, dance-twirling footwork of some double-jointed exerciser. If you try that move, you’ll twist your knee and land in surgery. We are not built alike. While pushing beyond barriers, also know that each one of us has specific abilities. To demand that I hop and dance like the knee-torking guy in the front row is ludicrous. I am here to improve my body-not resemble theirs!

Talk is cheating. At my gym, there are members who spend most of their time swapping war stories and giving updates on current sport matches. Instead of working out, they talk. And then, they’ll ALSO talk about how hard they worked out. I call that cheating. Stick to the task at hand. Action ALWAYS is louder than words

Get a trainer. We can’t see our postures with free weights. We don’t know what different exercise might improve a specific problem area. And we don’t always stick to a regimen unless we’re accountable to someone besides ourselves. Call it a coach, an advisor, a mentor-whatever. But all of us can benefit from the advise and new eyes of someone outside of ourselves.

Celebrate your success. I admit: I despised exercise when I started. But I KNEW that I had to begin. I set a goal of 3 exercise times per week-30 minutes to start. Every time I exercised, I put a sticker in my appointment book. Yes-a fun sticker: animal, cartoon face, flower, you name it. Amazing but my appointment book began to blossom with crazy kid stickers. I could literally see progress every week. When beginning any new behavior, we all know that rewards are important. Stickers are cheap and visual. Whatever the reward, it’s the consistency of the giving that matters.

Workplace workouts, in the context of learning, can promise growth, stamina, productivity, AND ultimately profitable performance.

Bankruptcy as a Debt Management Solution: Why Do so Many of Us Have so Much Debt?

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

In 2004, 1,562,174 Americans sought protection from creditors through bankruptcy court – a per capita rate over ten times higher than during the worst years of the Great Depression! According to the Consumer Federation of America, in 2003 alone over 9 million consumers made initial calls with a credit counseling agency and in 2004 close to 2 million consumers were actually enrolled in varying types of assistance plans. These numbers clearly indicate that personal debt in the United States is higher than it has ever been and financial stress is very much a reality for millions of Americans, across all segments of society.

But how did this come to be? The economy has been relatively strong for over a decade so it can’t be about slow economic cycles. Why are so many Americans finding it difficult to handle debt loads? Is bankruptcy the inevitable conclusion for many of us? All financial experts are in agreement that in most cases, bankruptcy is not a pre-ordained outcome if help is sought early. However, given the type of consumer driven society we live in today, there is nothing to suggest that the rate of bankruptcies is going to decline.

IT HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER TO GET CREDIT

Personal debt in this country has now surpassed the 1.7 trillion dollar mark and continues to soar. 1995 was the first year American consumers used credit cards more than cash in the economy and there has been no looking back. The financial services sector is an extremely competitive multi-billion dollar industry and financial institutions are falling over each other to try and sign consumers up to their credit services. The average household receives 20 unsolicited credit card invitations each year and many of these offers require no credit check, credit history review or income verification. Today, the average American family carries 12 different credit card accounts and we seem to be using them all!

And if it wasn’t enough that the financial services companies are trying to tempt everyone with credit they might not be able to afford, retailers have also joined this game. Merchant specific credit cards were originally introduced as a way to gain customer loyalty by providing a convenience when shopping at the same store. As major ticket consumer goods have risen in price, retailers have had to come up with innovative ways to keep moving these products. Advertising no down payments, or no payments for a full year has appealed to our collective desire to enjoy today and pay tomorrow. It has allowed retailers to continue moving their products and whether planned or not, has resulted in a new cash cow because most people don’t pay off their cards every month. In fact, 88% of all consumers who buy products under deals where there is a grace period before any payment is due or interest is charged end up converting and keeping the amount on their credit cards. At interest rates of between 20 and 30% for most retail cards, this has become a very profitable activity for the merchants.

This last point bears further analysis. Financial institutions and retailers offering credit terms make an enormous sum of money on interest fees and late payments. Again, consider the average American household. The debt carried on those 12 credit cards equates on average to $8000.00 dollars. According to VISA, 48% of us cover only minimum payments from month to month so assume for this example $200. Provided these cards will not be used again for any additional purchases and using an average annual interest of 18%, it will take 62 months to pay down this debt at a total cost of $12,307.37. That is an additional $4307.37 in interest payments over 5 years or fully 35% of the money paid to clear this debt! No wonder lenders don’t mind minimum monthly payments.

PERSONAL DEBT LEVELS HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER

These developments have had a huge impact on consumer buying habits. Since 1990 the average American family’s debt load has increased by a whopping 46% (figure adjusted for inflation). It is no longer necessary to save up before buying something; credit is available for almost anyone and just about everyone is using it. The advent of the internet is also making it much easier to spend money. A click of a button, a credit card number and that new product you happened to find while surfing is delivered to your door a couple of days later. You don’t even have to get dressed to go shopping anymore! It has simply never been so easy to get material products or so challenging to adhere to the kind of fiscal self-discipline that is needed to stay out of debt in today’s society.

According to the American Bankruptcy Institute, personal bankruptcy is most often accompanied by either family breakdown (divorce), unexpected medical bills or sudden job loss. These are circumstances largely out of an individual’s control, but the primary difference in today’s society is that because the debt level being carried by most families is so high, there is no longer any savings for those “rainy days”. A survey conducted by MetLife supports this contention with its findings that fully half of all households in the United States live from paycheck to paycheck. If the average family is financially extended like this, it is no wonder bankruptcy may be the only option when sudden changes like divorce, medical bills or job loss occur.

This is no longer a phenomena of one particular segment of society. No household should feel ashamed or be under the impression that they are alone. But in order to safeguard their financial futures, consumers do need to realize the position they are putting themselves in and what they need to do before it becomes too late for anything except bankruptcy.

If continued spending patterns and money management habits do not appreciably change, the number of personal bankruptcies will continue to skyrocket. And even if this final step may be the only option for some, financial experts do warn that although it will serve to either liquidate (Chapter 7 proceeding) or discharge (Chapter 13 proceeding) debt, the repercussions will last for at least ten years. Any future credit will only be available at the highest interest rates, it may affect approval for insurance policies and even in job selection. Recent amendments to federal bankruptcy legislation have now made it much more difficult to obtain a chapter 7 hearing, so even if bankruptcy is the chosen option, it may still require a repayment plan that does not eliminate a consumer’s debt obligations. Bankruptcy should not be taken lightly.

Given our consumer society, there is no indication that these record debt levels are going to change. It may be harder in future to declare bankruptcy, but that won’t solve the problem. Perhaps what is needed is a tightening up of the credit approval processes so consumers don’t have such easy access to levels they cannot possible sustain given income levels. But as long as lenders continue to earn such high revenues through interest, late payment fees etc. it is unlikely we’ll see change here.
